Student Massage Therapist
Matthew is from East Vancouver and has always embraced an active lifestyle. He has played most sports but over time, beach volleyball has become his true passion. He now competes at a high level and hopes to take his game to the international stage one day.
Matthew’s background as an athlete has taught him a lot about how the body works—how strong and capable it can be, but also how easily it can be pushed past its limits. After experiencing his fair share of injuries and recovery journeys, he developed an appreciation for the power of proper care, movement, and rehabilitation. This awareness led him to massage therapy.
Currently studying at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, Matthew is working toward his goal of becoming a Registered Massage Therapist. Matthew’s philosophy is that massage is more than just a treatment—it’s a way to connect with people, help them move and feel better, and give back to a community that’s given him so much.
In his practice, Matthew likes to focus on understanding each person’s unique needs and tailoring treatments that support their lifestyle—whether that’s improving athletic performance, speeding up recovery, or simply easing the tension of everyday life.
When he’s not studying or practicing, you’ll most likely find Matthew on the beach volleyball court, exploring Vancouver’s parks, or enjoying time with friends and family. Helping people live active, pain-free lives is what drives him, and he is continually growing in this field.
