Himani is a licensed physical therapist with a warm, client-centred approach to care. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and a Master’s in Neurophysiotherapy in India. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of British Columbia, where her research focuses on adapting yoga practices to support people living with disabilities, helping improve physical function, autonomy, and long-term engagement in rehabilitation.
Himani has clinical experience supporting individuals with chronic pain, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical recovery, and a wide range of mobility challenges. She has worked with clients across the lifespan from young adults to older adults, addressing concerns such as balance issues, muscle weakness, joint stiffness, and movement limitations. Her therapeutic approach blends evidence-based physiotherapy with holistic mind-body practices like adaptive yoga and mindfulness to improve function, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life.
She believes in working closely with clients to design personalized, achievable treatment plans that align with their goals and lifestyles. Himani is passionate about empowering people to regain confidence in their bodies and take an active role in their recovery.
Outside of work, Himani enjoys listening to music, spending time in nature, and is a big fan of Zumba, as both a fun way to stay active and a joyful expression of movement.
