Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy Pelvic floor dysfunction is very common. Pelvic Floor Therapy treats and helps prevent pelvic floor disorders and focuses on the prevention and rehabilitation of dysfunctional muscles within the pelvic floor that is often associated with pregnancy. In the post-partum population, 50% of women will experience incontinence, sexual dysfunction, prolapse, or pelvic pain. While common, it is not normal, and all of these issues can be easily treated. Pelvic Floor Therapy has been proven beneficial prior to pregnancy, during, and after pregnancy to both prevent and treat pelvic floor dysfunction. It can help individuals to decrease or eliminate pelvic-related pain and related issues and prevent incontinence, allowing you to regain the freedom of enjoying activities without worry of pain or leaking

- Sexual dysfunction such as genital or vaginal pain affecting your sex life or reduced sensation.
- Issues of incontinence or leaking, either peripartum, following a partial or total hysterectomy, or simply as you get older.

- Increased frequency or urgency to get to the bathroom, painful urination, constipation, or difficult bowel movements.
